About Seven2Roofing

Seven2Roofing was built on one simple belief: homeowners deserve honest answers and quality work done right the first time.

Founded in Northern Utah, Seven2Roofing is a full-service roofing company specializing in roof inspections, repairs, replacements, and long-term roof protection. What started through years of hands-on experience in the roofing and construction industry has grown into a company known for integrity, craftsmanship, and customer-first service.

After four years of successfully owning and operating a roof rejuvenation business in Northern Utah — a soybean-based roof rejuvenation treatment designed to extend the life of asphalt shingles — our team saw firsthand how many homeowners needed more than just a treatment. They needed reliable repairs, full replacements, and most importantly, someone they could trust.

Seven2Roofing was created to fill that gap.

We believe roofing is more than shingles and nails — it’s protection for your family, your investment, and your peace of mind. That belief drives everything we do:

  • Clear, honest roof assessments

  • No-pressure recommendations

  • Quality materials

  • Clean, precise workmanship

  • Customer satisfaction from start to finish

If your roof doesn’t need work, we’ll tell you. If it does, we’ll explain exactly why and walk you through your options

Koby Spelts

Co-Owner / Son / General Contractor

At just 25 years old, Koby Spelts has already built a reputation for hard work, honesty, and doing things the right way.

Born in Henderson, Nevada and raised in Utah, Koby’s entrepreneurial journey started early. At just 11 years old, he launched his first business mowing lawns. What started as a simple neighborhood service quickly grew so fast that he had to hire his best friend, Issac, to help keep up with demand.. a business that Issac still runs today.

By 16, Koby was working 50+ hour weeks in HVAC while still in high school, gaining hands-on construction experience and learning the value of discipline and craftsmanship. After high school, he moved to Alabama to work with a sales company, where he quickly became one of the top performers.

Not long after, his dad (now his business partner) called him about a roofing franchise opportunity with RoofMaxx. (Koby jokes his dad just wanted him back home.) That conversation led to Koby and his dad, Ryan, owning and operating the RoofMaxx franchise in Northern Utah. They have now owned and operated RoofMaxx for four years and are still proudly running it today.

RoofMaxx is a soybean-based roof treatment designed to restore flexibility, prevent granule loss, and extend the life of asphalt shingles. Through working with homeowners, Koby began noticing how many roofs needed more than just treatment.. they needed honest guidance, repairs done right, and sometimes full replacements.

That’s when he earned his B100 General Contracting License and launched Seven2Roofing, building a full-service roofing company alongside RoofMaxx. The name “Seven2” comes from his classic 1972 green Chevy, a nod to craftsmanship, tradition, and doing things the right way.

Koby is known for putting customers first, even if it means it costs him. He believes in transparency and will tell homeowners the truth about their roof, even if that means they don’t need repairs. No pressure. No upselling. Just honesty.

As an artist at heart, Koby brings a sharp eye for detail and aesthetics to every project. He doesn’t just want roofs to function, he wants them to look clean, precise, and professionally done.

Above all, Koby believes in hard work, integrity, and making sure every customer walks away confident and satisfied.

Ryan Spelts

Co-Owner / Dad/ Business Man

Seven2 Roofing began with a simple search for a better way to care for a home. In 2021, Ryan Spelts—a lifelong entrepreneur and founder of Ryan Spelts Marketing—was looking for a roof rejuvenation solution for his own house. When he discovered Roof Maxx, he realized the incredible value it could bring to Northern Utah. There was just one problem: no one in Weber County was providing it.

Ryan knew exactly who to call. He teamed up with his son, Koby, to launch a dealership that has since evolved into a full-service roofing company serving Weber, Davis, Morgan, Box Elder, Cache, and Salt Lake Counties.

The Power of Two

At Seven2, we combine "the business brain" with "the technical hands." While Ryan brings decades of experience in sales, marketing, and client success, Koby has grown into a master of the craft. As a father, Ryan takes immense pride in watching Koby lead their crews with precision and technical expertise.

Our Promise: We aren't just here to sell you a roof. We are here to do what is best for you, no matter what. Whether we’re extending the life of your current shingles or installing a brand-new system, we lead with clarity, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve our neighbors.

The Story Behind the Name: Seven2 Roofing

When Ryan and Koby Spelts founded their company, they didn't look to a marketing firm for a name—they looked to the driveway. Specifically, at their 1972 Chevy pickup.

Originally purchased to serve as the workhorse for their Roof Maxx dealership, the truck represented everything they stood for. They loved the environmental impact of roof rejuvenation, and the '72 Chevy—a classic built to be restored and reused—was the perfect symbol for that mission.

"They Dont Build 'Em Like They Used To"

As the business evolved from rejuvenation into a full-service roofing company, the truck remained their inspiration. Ryan and Koby began noticing a frustrating trend in the industry: modern roofs are often installed with speed prioritized over craftsmanship, shortcuts over precision, and volume over longevity.

Ryan and Koby began noticing a frustrating trend in the industry: modern roofs are often installed with speed prioritized over craftsmanship, shortcuts over precision, and volume over longevity.

Too many homeowners were left dealing with premature failures, avoidable repairs, and workmanship that simply didn’t hold up. Roofs that should have lasted decades were showing problems far too soon.

That didn’t sit right with them.

The old-school mindset — taking pride in your work, doing it carefully, and building something meant to last — seemed to be disappearing. And they believed homeowners deserved better.

They decided to bring that standard back.

Seven2 Roofing was built on the philosophy that your roof should be as rugged and reliable as that ’72 pickup — solid, dependable, and built with intention.

We don’t rush jobs. We don’t cut corners. And we don’t recommend work that isn’t needed.

By combining high-quality materials with meticulous installation techniques and true old-school integrity, we build roofing systems designed for durability, performance, and long-term protection. Every shingle, every flashing detail, every cleanup — it all matters.

Because a roof isn’t just another project. It’s the shield over your home and the people inside it.

At Seven2 Roofing, we don’t just build roofs. We build them to last.
And we build trust that stands just as strong.
